TES Award Nomination
Dear Parent/Carer,
Nomination for Times Educational Supplement (‘TES’) National Award
We are delighted that Grace Academy Coventry has been nominated for a prestigious national award by the Times Educational Supplement. The award we have been nominated for is one close to our heart and all that we do at Grace: Community Engagement Initiative of the Year. Regardless of whether we win this award or not, to be nominated from all schools nationally to the top 7 is an incredible achievement.
Our students and our community are so important to Grace Academy and this award reflects the collaboration between us and the community. We would like to thank all our parents for your continuing support by attending and spreading awareness of events such as our Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre and Career’s Fayre, supporting your children to attend our cultural awareness trips, such as the Samaritan’s shoebox packing trip before Christmas every year. We would also like to thank our parents for kindly donating to our appeals, such as the Autumn foodbank collection.
We would also like to thank our partners, Coventry Building Society, Segro, Parker Meggitt, Fiera Real Estate, Opus Land, Zenzero and Amazon for their amazing support, not only donating equipment and experiences to our students, but also for donating to our appeals for the Christmas and Easter Hampers giving support to our families. Coventry Building Society also provides support for our students in many other ways, such as CV writing workshops, Interview Skills workshops, cultural capital funding which fully supports our enrichment week and some cultural capital trips, sponsorship of the student lunchtime toast club and kindly donating volunteer time to decorate students’ spaces to enhance their time here. These organisations also provide careers trips for our students, sponsorship of our sports teams and even sponsorship for the trip to Disneyland. We are incredibly grateful for their support, which enables our students to maximise their Limitless Potential and widen their experiences.
We are committed to continuing to engage with our community, which is a fundamental element of The Grace Way.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs E Wheller
Principal
