End of Term Letter
Thursday, 26th March 2026
Dear Parent/Carer,
End of Term Letter
I would like to thank you for your support this term. We have enjoyed a fantastic term of events, trips, extra-curricular, theatre performances and community events and I thank you for your support.
We are very proud of how hard our students have worked for their assessments and mocks and we are really proud of their continuing commitment to our core values of Amazing Grace, Intentional Excellence, Mutual Respect, Genuine Integrity and Limitless Potential.
Once again, we have celebrated maximum attendance this term. So many of our students have demonstrated Intentional Excellence and have shown that success does not happen by accident but instead through hard work, engagement and determination. Well done to all of those students who received these awards! We regularly speak to our students about the importance of attendance and how our minimum expectation for attendance is 97%.
Key Stage 3 Update
We are delighted that we are full in September for Year 7, with a waiting list. We are looking forward to starting our Year 6 transition events over the next few months, and welcoming our next cohort into Grace Academy.
All Key Stage 3 students have now completed their Assessment Point 2 (“AP2”) exams and these results will be published to parents through MCAS at the beginning of the summer term. Please use the information in these reports to support your child and please do not hesitate to contact the Academy if you have any questions.
Year 9 had their Parents’ Evening and Options Evening this term with fantastic engagement from parents, students and staff. Conversations will be taking place between students and members of the leadership team regarding their subject option choices for GCSE once we return after the Easter break.
Year 7 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 16th April between 4pm and 7pm and Year 8 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 7th May between 4pm and 7pm. Please book your appointments through the MCAS App.
Key Stage 4 Update
Year 10
We are looking forward to starting to prepare our Year 10 students for starting in Year 11 and we will be having conversations with Year 10 about the expectations of Year 11, the Year 11 offer and fundamentally what to expect from a GCSE examination period. Year 10 students are busy preparing for work experience which is taking place in the summer term. If your child has not confirmed a work experience placement yet please ensure you contact their tutor so we can offer some support.
Finally, a reminder of the Year 10 Parents’ Evening which will take place on Wednesday 13th May for which you will be able to book appointments through the MCAS app.
Year 11
Year 11 students have now sat their final (Mock 2) assessments. We were very impressed with their engagement with the exams process and hope they will be encouraged to continue their revision for the summer exams. Year 11 will be given a range of revision materials to complete over the Easter holidays and we would encourage them to engage with these so they can unlock their Limitless Potential.
Year 11 Mentoring
As we commit more time to support the wellbeing of our students we are providing selected groups of students with mentoring. All members of the Academy Leadership Team are now working alongside selected Year 11 students, trying to help them overcome barriers and identify how they can make progress with their exams and future goals. This support will continue into the summer term.
Sixth Form Update
Once again, the Spring term has been a very busy period for our Post-16 students. Our Year 12 students on the Career Ready programme have continued their 1-1 mentoring with meetings taking place onsite, virtually and in company offices. We hosted an icebreaker session for mentors and students to meet which was a great success, with many stating they feel that the external guidance is helping them prepare for life post-Grace Academy.
Year 12 students have been continuing to source their work experience placements which are scheduled to take place in the final week of this academic year. This will be an invaluable experience for them to gain a detailed insight into the profession they are potentially interested in pursuing as a future career.
Both Years 12 and 13 undertook their Mock 2 examinations during this term for which the students had prepared well and we were very proud of their determination to achieve.
Year 13 UCAS offers are continuing to come in, which is great to see, and the students are beginning the process of confirming their firm and insurance choices.
Finally, our Year 12 Parents’ Evening will be held on Thursday 16th April. Please ensure you book appointments through the MCAS App. If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Mrs Moore.
Ethos and Wellbeing Update
Rewards
It has been brilliant to reward so many of our students again as part of our celebration assemblies this term. We have rewarded our students for 97% and above attendance, effort and attainment in lessons, tutor engagement, staff recognition and for embodying the Grace Way.
Ethos and Pastoral Curriculum
Year 7 students took part in a careers workshop led by The Grace Foundation on teamwork and the importance of this both now and in the world of work.
As part of our Year 12 enrichment programme, Year 12 students took part in an interactive road safety session led by West Midlands Fire Service.
We are incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful partnership with Coventry Building Society. As well as working with our Sixth Form students on CV writing and interview skills and working with the Career Ready mentors, staff members from CBS volunteer some time to the Academy. This term, we welcomed a team of volunteers here to re-decorate our school counselling room and our Early Careers Teacher room. These are now great spaces for both our students and staff.
Students from Years 9 and 12 took part in an Apprenticeships Panel led by Coventry Building Society where they were able to hear from apprentices and have the opportunity to ask questions around what this career pathway could look like.
Our Ethos team have led Easter assemblies and shared how the Christian resurrection story brings hope after failure, doubt and struggle and offers restoration and new beginnings.

We are fortunate to have so many talented students at Grace Academy and this year are able to put on two productions. We are so proud of all students who took part in our recent production of “Heathers: Teen Edition”. The hard work and commitment that was shown, as well as the talent, was outstanding. Thank you to those who were able to join us in supporting the students. We are looking forward to our next production which is “The Lion King” which will be on during the week commencing 29th June – we hope to see you there!
