  • Year 13 Results Day 2023

    Published 17/08/23

It has been a lovely morning with a buzz of excitement in the air having the students come in to collect their results, with staff here to share the moment with them. Post 16 courses are extremely demanding and the students deserve huge credit for their achievements and the hard work they have put in over the past two years.

Our partnership with Coventry Building Society has exponentially improved the students’ ability to revise, enhance their study skills and prepare for employment, as reflected by their results and we are extremely grateful to CBS for their continued support for our students.

It has been wonderful to be able to speak with all our students in person to discuss their finalised next steps. Many of our students are intending to go on to university, whilst others have achieved good results and are choosing not to go to university and have been offered some fantastic opportunities following the route of employment or advanced apprenticeships.

Julia achieved an A in Psychology, a B in Biology and a Distinction* in Health and Social Care, and has a place at the University of Warwick to read Psychology. Julia said “I’m so pleased with my results, it’s so nice to know all the hard work has paid off. I know there were many stressful moments but I’m just excited to go to university”.

Abigail received a good set of results, including a B in Sociology and two Distinctions in Law and Business and has secured a place at the University of Birmingham to read Sociology. Abigail said “I’m so happy about the results I have achieved. The last two years have been a journey, and all the hard work has been worth it. I’m excited for the new chapter I’m about to begin”.

Lilly-Mae has a fantastic set of results, achieving two Distinctions in Law and Health & Social Care and a grade B in Psychology, and is very excited to be going to travel the world before embarking on further studies. Lilly-Mae said “I am grateful for all of the help I have had from teachers to help me get the grades I achieved. I am planning to travel in my gap year before possibly going to university”.

This is such an exciting time for our students with new pathways ahead and they deserve our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their future endeavours.
